Dr Alic Jacobsz grew up and matriculated in Bloemfontein 1988.
Dr Alic Jacobsz grew up and matriculated in Bloemfontein 1988.
After completing his national service (1989 - 1990), he started his undergraduate medical studies at the University of the Orange Free State and graduated in 1996.
He did his internship at George Provincial Hospital during 1997. This is where his love for Ophthalmology began.
After working as a medical officer in Ophthalmology for 3 years at 1 Military Hospital, he began his post graduate studies in Ophthalmology at the University of Pretoria. As part of his training, he spent 6 months at the University of Nottingham in the UK. He completed his post graduate studies in 2004 and was inducted as Fellow of the College of Ophthalmology of South Africa.
In 2004 he started private practice at the Pretoria Eye Institute.
